Join packs, join packs, join packs! Without packs there can't be plots, and plots make the site interesting. Especially since there's one brewin'.

Tackling a New Type of Coyote [Claim]

We're not in Texas anymore, Toto...

To the left was a crumbling city. To the right an overgrown but beautifully serene woodland. It seemed like some sort of metaphor about irony. The breeze was light, the sun wasn't so hot. There wasn't much humidity and the air wasn't in the least dusty. A truly exquisite day, in an exquisite sort of wonderland. Birds sang, rabbits munched grass, and puffy white clouds rolled blissfully across the sky. Another metaphor. How could this be real? There was... Nothing. Just everything. Where was the symphony in the background?

The spaniel walked around, wide-eyed. "This is a helluva surprise." she said, making rounds about the unclaimed territory. She knew the city was empty, but she assumed there'd be more packs running it by now. Not that she wasn't happy. The girl was assertive, and happily accepted that finding this slice of heaven meant she had the responsibility of ruling it, and anyone who wanted to join her pack. Mel was well made for this kind of job.

Smiling she continued to explore the land. She wanted to know the lay of the land before she officially declared it hers. Or in other words, peed all over it. So far the little Texan hadn't found any flaws, "I guess I might's well take it then." she said with finality. In truth she'd already decided that quite early on. About the second the laid eyes on the place.

The sun grew hotter as it approached noon, but Mel had grown up in Texas. She just sauntered into the shade after finishing up with marking the borders and rested her muzzle on folded paws. Her eyes where closed but her head was spinning with possibilities. It was going to be awesome.

After the hottest part of the day was over, Mel did a yawn and stretch combo and blinked herself back into consciousness. With a start she remembered were she was. In her territory. "Now all I need is a good pack goin'," the spaniel muttered. Oh yes, definitely awesome.
