Etiquette
I. Biggest, baddest, bestest rule. Treat others the way you want to be treated. If you want to be treated well, treat other members with respect and politeness. If you want to start a fight keep it in your Personal Messages or away from the forum. Fighting in the cbox or on the boards is unacceptable.
II. Don't flood. Please don't flood. Flooding is more than three characters in a row. Three exclamation points in a row is enough. Since I don't want to be strict I'll bump it from three to five. So no more than five of the same character in a row.
III. Listen to staff. If a staff member politely asks you to do something within reason, don't talk back. Depending on the seriousness of your behavior you may be banned for one or more days. If a staff member is being rude don't be afraid to let me know personally. However, I will be wanting evidence.
IV. Don't spam. Spamming is annoying and gets on everyone's nerves.
V. Minimal chatspeak is fine in the cbox or in OOC. I just don't want it to become excessive or not understandable.
VI. Don't beg for a staff position. If there is an application use it, if applications are closed don't bother.
VII. Respect other people's beliefs. Religious, political, or otherwise. I don't want people to be discussing religion or politics very much. It just ends up causing problems, and this isn't a deep discussion sort of forum.
Posting
I. There is no word minimum. However, I ask that every post is three lines (not sentences, lines). Anything less must be edited.
II. Absolutely no chatspeak in posts, unless in OOC. Frankly it just makes you look dumb.
III. Use proper punctuation, capitalization, and spelling. I can understand a few grammatical errors, but there is a spellcheck button. This rule isn't really that important. It's more of a reminder to check your post over.
IV. When a character is speaking PLEASE put it in quotes. Like so
Violet became very irritated when she saw members posting dialect without quotes "This is madness!" she cried, pulling out clumps of her own hair.
V. You don't have to be, like, mega ultra lit, but you don't have to b spelin tings rong and stuf.
Signatures
I. No stealing images. Absolutely none. You WILL get called on this.
II. Images in signatures must not stretch the board.
III. You may set up your own signature studio in the Art board. You may also create image request threads.
Maturity
I. This is a PG13 site to Mature site. If a post is going to be excessively mature, something you wouldn't want your 13 year old to see put a [M] in the title as a warning. If your post is deemed inappropriate by staff they will add the [M] to the title.
II. Minimal swearing is allowed in most posts. Large amounts of swearing in a thread should have a [PG13+] in the title.
Bios
I. When creating a character I ask that you are as descriptive as possible. There needs to be more than one word when describing all aspects, including eye and pelt color.
i.e Instead of
Eyes: Blue
Try
Eyes: Navy blue
Or
Eyes: Forest green
II. I ask that you keep it realistic. I will accept a few unnatural/uncommon eye colors (red, green, and unnatural shades of natural colors). Albinism and heterochromia (odd-eyes).
III. Pelt colors must be natural. The only exception is a naturally black, brown, or any color besides white dog with albinism.
IV. If you choose to include a History it must be realistic. No massive genocide please.
Laws of Claiming
I. When claiming a territory make a thread titled "Claiming" or something similar. On that thread you must write a minimum of three paragraphs. The better it is the more likely it is to get accepted.
II. If two or more people are trying to claim the same territory the following things can happen:
a) There can be a fight
b) The claiming posts can be judged
c) A number can be picked between 1-100 X]
III. If a fight happens there can be no power-playing. The participants must take turns attacking, and can't use more than three moves on the opponent. This goes for all fights, not just claiming fights.
Within a Pack
I. If you want to join a pack, first post your character bio in the "Character Bios Board". Once it's been accepted you can post it in the sub board of whichever pack you want to join.
II. Alphas can have different formats for bios, if they want to. Put it in your 'Rules' area if you do.
III. As long as the rules an alpha has for roleplay within their territory are reasonable, you have to follow those along with the general board rules.
IV. Alphas must moderate their territory (board). They have most of the same powers as mods.
V. Alphas must have a stats page for their territory. It must include all the names of pack members and their rank. The page can be setup however the alpha wants.
