Name: Harlow
Age: 6
Breed: Belgian Malinois
Eyes: Harlow's eyes are nearly the color to match her face. The color seems a chocolate brown in the sunlight but otherwise it comes off as a cold coal black color
Body: Thin and athletic. Her tan fur is marked with a black face and black ears. She is a thin and very athletic dog but she also harbors much strength for a female. Black points are located on her tail, neck, and back. Her athletic body makes for quick movement and agile tactics.
Gender: Female, unfixed
Personality: Upon first meeting Harlow can be rude, sarcastic, and blunt. She is a fast thinker and doesn't act without thinking. She is a smart dog and will not act out on her emotions; if she has any. Most do not get along with her. She has spent many years learning how to defend herself, she doesn't back down easily. To most she seems like a cold hearted dog, but that is what she has made herself to be. She was taught to serve order and protect yet that left no room for her to socialize much. She had her doggy friends at home but didn't enjoy playing with little dogs. She doesn't put up with anything she does not like unless she is under command by somebody else such as having a master or being in a group. She doesn't need others although she does find herself getting lonely a lot. But again, most find Harlow as a cold distant dog who doesn't give a damn about the world but she has made herself like that. She was a care free puppy until she went through training. She had no room for free will or play, she loved to work. But yet underneath her cold hard outer layer, lies her heart. To get into her heart you can't let her get her way, you have to stand up to her, make her respect you. She is quite capable of compassion; if you show her how.
History: Harlow was born in Holland along with four other siblings, all male. She was the first born and the biggest puppy out of all her siblings. As she grew she continued to become the largest. She had a promising future. Her siblings and her liked to wrestle and fight with each other and it was always her doing the beating, the others doing the losing. When she was old enough she left her home, and Holland itself. She was sent to a small town to become a police dog. She was only young as she went through all the training, learning very quickly. She spent the longest time training before she actually was placed with her handler, Daniel Tury. The two instantly clicked and they were inseparable. She made an amazing police dog and did her job very well. The one thing that Tury always had trouble with was trying to get Harlow to play, to loosen up. She just wouldn't do it. She was fine with the families other dogs, two jack Russel terriers, although she hated their ankle biting barking ways. She was a patrol dog, sent out on patrols with Tury. She took down her share of people and got hurt as well. But the physical hurt was much less than the emotional hurt she was about to go through. Tury and Harlow had created an unbreakable bond during the five years they'd spent with each other. When the town was evacuated, Tury was forced to leave Harlow behind, but of course his wife had to take the ankle biters. Harlow chased their car until she could move no more. That night she slept in an alley before going back to her old home. She dwelled there for the longest time. When the government came into the town, Harlow didn't go looking for anybody, didn't try to ever find human contact again. Instead she left the town to get away from the tests. She never left the next town over and almost always stayed at the towns edge at night. When the government had left, Harlow went back. The town a new sight. A new home. A new life.
